BEERPrivacy policy
What BeerFund keeps about you, why, who can see it, and how to get rid of it.
Who we are
BeerFund is run by Loreggian Pty Ltd, an Australian company ("we", "us"). We handle your personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles. Questions about this policy go to support@loreggian.com.
What we collect
- Your sign-in: your email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, the name they share and, for Google, a link to your profile picture. Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real one.
- Your roster entry: what your club's admins record about you — name, nickname, shirt number, date of birth, email address and role — and which account is linked to it.
- Club activity: fines filed for or against you, their reasons, defences and evidence photos, how they were ruled, payments your club marks as settled, match availability and beer duty.
- Your devices: a push notification token for each device where you allow notifications, and which notifications you have switched on.
- Server logs: the IP address and route of each request to our API, kept for one month for security and troubleshooting.
We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking, and we do not sell your information or share it for marketing.
How we use it
- To sign you in and link you to your club.
- To show your club's ledger, court, fixtures, availability and statistics.
- To send the notifications you have switched on.
- To keep the service secure and working.
Who can see it
Members of your club see the club's ledger — fines, reasons, evidence photos, rulings, balances and statistics, including the ones about you. Your club's admins also see the roster and requests to join. People outside your club cannot see any of it; each club's data is kept separate.
Where it is stored
Everything is stored with Amazon Web Services in Sydney, Australia. Sign-in runs on Amazon Cognito. Evidence photos are private and only ever shown through short-lived links.
Some providers may handle information outside Australia: Google or Apple when you sign in with them, and Expo together with Apple's and Google's notification services when a notification is delivered to your device.
How long we keep it
Your account information is kept until you delete your account. Server logs are deleted after one month. Your club's records — its roster, fines and rulings — are kept until the club is deleted; see below.
Deleting your account
In the app, go to My Tab, then Delete account. Without the app, email support@loreggian.com from the address you sign in with. Deleting your account removes:
- Your sign-in account, including the email address and any name or picture your sign-in provider shared.
- Your name on the roster of every club you belong to. It is replaced with "Former member" and a short code, so your club can still tell its former members apart.
- The nickname, shirt number, date of birth and email address held on those roster entries.
- The push notification tokens for your devices.
- Any claim to a roster entry you made that is still waiting for an admin.
Your club's own record of its season is kept, the same way a club's minutes do not change when a member leaves:
- Fines filed for or against you, their evidence photos, defences, rulings and payments.
- Match availability, beer duty and the season statistics.
These stay with your club under the "Former member" name, so its season still adds up. Reasons and defences are free text written by members, so they may still mention you by name; ask your club's admin to edit or remove them.
Everything a club holds — its roster, fines, photos, rulings and statistics — is deleted when the club is deleted. The club's owner can do that in the app, under the committee's Delete this club, or ask us at support@loreggian.com.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing support@loreggian.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle a request or a complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Age
BeerFund is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date on it, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
